IELTS Reading: Matching features

Match statements to a list of options from the passage: often people and the ideas or findings linked to them, but sometimes places, dates or theories.

211 practice sets · 979 questions · each set is timed at about 90 seconds per question

How to answer

  1. Highlight every occurrence of each name in the passage first.
  2. Read what is said around each name, then compare it with the statements.
  3. Check the instructions to see whether letters can be used more than once.

Common traps

  • Attributing an idea to the person mentioned nearby rather than the person who said it.
  • Missing a second mention of the same researcher later in the text.
